I do, considering that the question had no detail whatsoever in it. Are we supposed to give a step-by-step case for every single installation type possible? (dm-raid, LVM, various hardwares and architectures, virtualisation, networking, the near infinite number of software and services and functions a Linux server can do, etc, etc)? The email answering the question would be hundreds of megabytes in length (far too long to read on his iPod, or whatever device he's sending from), attempting to answer every possible situation that could come to mind. Narrowing the scope to the immediate and particular parts he's having problems with is a pretty good start. More to the point, I'm sure most people have ignored the original email for all the reasons I outline here, and if the OP is wondering why the response have been cold (or missing all together), hopefully it's obvious to him by now. Sensible questions get sensible answers. - -Dan -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFIZfMUeFJDv0P9Qb8RAjBDAJ4ukmAmNHW45l7JWsMYylHKzVCxiACfbuth Ca0Vqm6ARTisWYmXEy5PdzM= =lKdE -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- ubuntu-au mailing list ubuntu-au@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-au
