I checked on Ubuntu 26.10 that the only package that depends on this package is
pglistener, which is in universe:
➜ apt rdepends libnss-db
libnss-db
Reverse Depends:
Depends: pglistener
Not sure if this package still needs to be in main.
Also, the file /etc/nsswitch.conf still mentions db:
protocols: db files
services: db files
ethers: db files
rpc: db files
Maybe remove it as well?
