i've noticed that deleting the whole .kde folder actually solves this problem. that can't be considered really "porting settings" succesfully if i have to delete everything and then reconfigure it myself ... so it's still a bug. i still have all the config files in a backup so if anyone has an idea what might have caused this i can try :-)
