Ubuntu 8.10 cames with assistive technologies enabled by default and it means 
that a large amount of users will have performance problems in Nautilus and 
maybe the importance of this bug should be increased. 
I spent a long time to discover that turning off the assistive technologies 
could be a work around for this.
