Re: LinuxKrn

Yeah I found it odd because it actually locks up the system, not just
the firefox process. There are other websites that do this for me (as I
mentioned, farechase.yahoo.com after I submit a search), but that one is
pretty consistent.

I noticed a bunch of these in my Xorg.log when the system becomes
unresponsive:

---------------------
[mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop.
[mi] mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping.
---------------------

Another interesting thing I noticed is that sometimes CTRL-ALT-F1 to
switch a terminal results in a flicker of the screen as if it will
switch to a term, but then it flashes back to the GUI and sometimes is
responsive again.

Further investigation led me to believe that the system is still
operating, just nothing is redrawing. I opened a term via a shortcut on
my gnome-panel and executed mplayer and the music started while the
screen remained "frozen". Even the terminal I opened wasn't actually
visible.. I just typed the commands as if the window opened and was
focused (as it should be if the system was operating normally).

Definitely video/xorg.
