thank you for your bug report, how the mails are stored is a technical
detail and not something users should have to configure, the ubuntu team
doesn't have the ressources to work on adding a such option and that
doesn't seem to be an important feature for most users anyway, you can
open the request on bugzilla.gnome.org though
