Thank you for your suggestion. However, the changes you are requesting aren't really a bug. I don't really know where exactly this should be reported, but i don't think here is the right one to get answered. a few suggestions :
a feature request --> needs to be discussed : which should be done on an appropriate mailing list or forum. http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use. an "idea" to make ubuntu better (in that case get back some feature..): suggest it on brainstorm : you are invited to post your idea in Ubuntu Brainstorm at https://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ where it can be discussed, voted by the community and reviewed by developers.
