The Ubuntu Studio developers asked for it to be this way, and the bug here is in the Ubuntu Studio seeds. I knew this was going to be a problem for netboot installations sooner or later.
Ubuntu Studio developers: What do you want to do about this? Note that ubuntustudio-desktop is selected by default for Ubuntu Studio installations nowadays, although the question is still asked. I think that should be enough to remove the "(must install)" bit.
