in reply to the comments about notify-osd being rushed, it's stable and working fine according to the testing and user feedback, it might not be flexible enough for some users but features can't always be added immediatly and notification-daemon for those who feel they can't work without those options (the feedback is that most users are fine with the standard behaviour and find the new bubbles looking better than what was available before though it's not fair to say that the code was ready to be pushed to users)
