Since tracker repeatedly crashes on my notebook, it would be nice if you
provide a shell script to cleanly remove all status files of tracker.
These files are widely spread over several directories and it is not a
simple task to reliably clean up tracker and restart from scratch. I did
not yet find a way to get tracker starting properly at all on my
notebook, and as long as it crashes continuosly because of broken index
files, core dumps do not make much sense.

BTW, tracker in general suffers from poor software quality. There are
too many reasons for tracker to crash, and this is actually a security
problem. The fact that tracker drops its status and configuration files
to several locations is also sort of weak design.

I'd recommend a complete code review or even rewrite. Tracker crashes so
often that I believe that the authors have not been much of a
programmer.

Furthermore, I have confidential files on my machines and I am not sure
whether it is a good idea to reveal core dumps with these files in RAM.

Please lets start with restarting tracker from scratch. Which files need
to be removed?
