It seems that the printer is set to a certain emulation (most probably PCL) and therefore does not handle jobs in its native language correctly.
Try to do a reset to factory defaults: 1. Turn off the printer 2. Turn it on while holding down the front panel button of the printer. Release the button. The Drum light must be on after that operation. 3. Now press and hold down the button until the Ready light turns on and then release the button. The printer performs a reset to factory settings now. If the printer does not return to its default state (only Ready light on), turn it off and turn it on again. Now try to print. Does it work now? See User's Manual (http://www.brother- usa.com/ModelDocuments/Consumer/Users%20Manual/UM_HL_720_730_730DX_730PLUS_EN_1088.PDF), chapter 3 for front panel operation. -- Brother HL-730 prints infinite junk https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/325616 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
