I have an HP Compaq N610c laptop, and it hangs/freezes once in a while, the same it is described here. Others have been reporting this problem in forums:

It randomly occurs. Sometimes it hangs 4/5 times in day when I use the computer, other times it runs for a few days if I leave the computer alone. I am new to Ubuntu, but I am considering installing FC6 on the computer to get a stable platform.
