in nm-system-settings.conf I have added these settings: [main] plugins=ifupdown, keyfile
[ifupdown] managed=true See: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1213865&page=2 That did help and might be of help for others. But I still get many errors like: ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout (2437MHz) and I get a failed wireless connection on startup from time to time. This is still better than before though. However I would love the wifi just to work flawlessly. Here is some data on my Acer Aspire: uname -a Linux me-laptop 2.6.28-15-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Tue Aug 18 18:40:08 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux The dmesg | grep ath5k has been attached ** Attachment added: "Dmesg | grep ath5k errors" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30547517/dmesg-ath5k.log -- ath5k with AR5424 fails at startup or resume https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269253 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
