This is the lspci. I booted with a standard ubuntu X.org config, to generate this two files and explain more deeply the source of the problem.
The detail of the device (could be an hardware problem on the device or motherboard) : (I made a mistake in my previous comment, it was not detected in lsusb) before I unplug/replug it. Anyway an hotplug detection by X.org of serial tablet (via usb or direct serial) could be better for the overall hotplug system.
