@49, in my case I am sure compiz is as fast a before because I was actually in the process of quantitatively testing frame rates in several apps before the bug appeared on my system and now that I put in #32 fix the rates are exactly the same. Testing was using Celestia, Stellarium, ExtremeTuxRacer, glxgears and a few more.
