First, open a terminal as root and type "rmmod ricoh_mmc". Try
suspending your computer to see if it resumes ok. If it does, make the
change permanent.

Run this command:
gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Add this at the end of the file:

# Blacklisting until a bugfix comes out that
# lets me suspend my laptop
blacklist ricoh_mmc
