I seem to be suffering from the same problem. On my desktop with wired ethernet connection I seem to have a problem with DNS: - I get a timeout when I ping a host, e.g. ping google.com - I cannot resolve the address when I do host google.com - I can resolve the address when I do host google.com ip_of_my_dns - the info field of the network-manager reports the correct dns servers - it works as expected after I have restarted network-manager
I have no problems on my laptop which is connected wirelessly to the same router and thus is using the same settings. -- [karmic regression] all network apps / browsers suffer from multi-second delays by default due to IPv6 DNS lookups https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/417757 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
