Update: I deleted all instances of hp-photosmart-7700 series (there were 3) and reinstalled through the cups webinterface. Now I can print several documents from the front usb port, but it still freezes from the rear usb port. I will now try to remove and reinstall from cups when plugged in into the rear port. ... Done. I can now print several documents from the rear port as well using the hpcups backend. It still freezes when using the hpijs backen. (somehow it installed both, I think because of the automatic printer install process in Ubuntu). Attached is the cups error log. Cheers, Martin
