from hp-cups log it showing that you installed hpcups (not hpijs) and It seems that you are using hpijs ppd for hpcups driver.
even from the automatic print installer you can select hpcups ppd it function. hp-setup will do this automatically. Can you please confirm are you able to print if add your printer using "hp-setup -i" and connect to rear usb port.
