I've found a workaround for this problem. It doesn't work every time, but it works from time to time (good luck). The thing is that the list is populated correctly, but I guess repaint() method isn't called correctly. Anyway, if you try to click somewhere on that empty list, the list will eventually show up, and you'll be able to do whatever you wanted to do with entries in that list. Once again, good luck!
