Nothing is running in the background,I checked it with top and the second core has ~30% usage (never reaches 100%). Seems like the video isn't running in two threads. The same 720p video is running smoothly with 8.04. I have a Toshiba L30-134: Intel Core Duo T2050,ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.
