Public bug reported: Binary package hint: acpi-support
I'm running Kubuntu feisty herd 5 on an HP TC4200 Tablet PC (using Intel i810 driver, ide disks). Hibernate and suspend/resume worked very well with edgy, but with feisty I'm having two problems: 1) When resuming after a suspend, the display doesn't come back up (which usually points to a problem with VBE-Post). But, the acpi- support scripts seem to be exactly the same as on edgy (since the package didn't change from version 0.90 to 0.91) and the /etc/default /acpi-support file in my feisty install is exactly the same as on edgy. I'm not sure where the problem lies. Very occasionally the display will come up but then the system hangs whenever I try to do something that would access the disks. A hard reset is the only thing that will fix it. 2) Suspend and hibernate take a long time to "kick in". I've confirmed that this happens due to the 55-down-interfaces.sh in /etc/acpi/suspend.d. If this script is removed, then the suspend/hibernate takes place very quickly. ** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Regression [feisty] HP TC4200 fails to resume properly after suspend https://launchpad.net/bugs/89779 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
