Ok, I've at least found a workaround, but the bug is still present: Manually loading an alsa source in /etc/pulse/default.pa works ("load- module module-alsa-source device=hw:0,0").
This adds an "Internal Audio" input device, in additon to the auto- loaded (udev?) "Internal Audio Analog Stereo". After configuring alsa levels with alsamixer, the manually loaded "Internal Audio" device works for recording. The auto-loaded "Internal Analog Stereo" device still behaves incorrectly (no sound is produced, and selecting it misconfigures the alsa levels; they have to be readjusted before the manual device works again). -- Pulseaudio refuses to use internal microphone input (Lenovo X300) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/434520 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
