Actually now that you mention it he 3G modem has not worked properly for a couple of month and i have given up trying.
I can switch it on and off with the button but i cant see any difference in lsmod with it on and with it off. I just dont know which module it uses. m...@matt-netbook:~$ lsmod Module Size Used by isofs 29250 0 nls_iso8859_1 3249 1 nls_cp437 4919 1 vfat 8901 1 fat 47703 1 vfat option 15590 0 usbserial 33019 1 option uvcvideo 56862 0 videodev 34361 1 uvcvideo v4l1_compat 13251 2 uvcvideo,videodev snd_hda_codec_realtek 203072 1 snd_hda_intel 21717 2 snd_hda_codec 74201 2 snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_intel snd_hwdep 5412 1 snd_hda_codec snd_pcm_oss 35244 0 snd_mixer_oss 13746 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_pcm 70758 3 snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_pcm_oss joydev 8708 0 snd_seq_dummy 1338 0 snd_seq_oss 26726 0 snd_seq_midi 4557 0 snd_rawmidi 19024 1 snd_seq_midi snd_seq_midi_event 6003 2 snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi snd_seq 47231 6 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_midi_event snd_timer 19066 2 snd_pcm,snd_seq snd_seq_device 5700 5 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq iptable_filter 2271 0 snd 54116 16 snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_seq_oss,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq,snd_timer,snd_seq_device psmouse 62957 0 soundcore 6620 1 snd ip_tables 9991 1 iptable_filter snd_page_alloc 7172 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm rtl8187se 159883 0 x_tables 14299 1 ip_tables serio_raw 3978 0 lp 7028 0 parport 32603 1 lp dm_raid45 81647 0 xor 15028 1 dm_raid45 fbcon 35102 72 tileblit 2031 1 fbcon font 7557 1 fbcon bitblit 4675 1 fbcon softcursor 1189 1 bitblit usbhid 35982 0 i915 276944 4 drm_kms_helper 29297 1 i915 drm 162631 5 i915,drm_kms_helper i2c_algo_bit 4964 1 i915 usb_storage 38849 1 intel_agp 24149 1 r8169 34204 0 mii 4349 1 r8169 agpgart 31756 2 drm,intel_agp video 17375 1 i915 output 1871 1 video besides, i have had it switched off to save battery life for ages. -- [Karmic] Hangs during shutdown with kernel 2.6.31-7 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/418509 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
