Yes Sarah, It looked like herd 5 was well down the dev path but your point is solid. I am looking for a workstation that I can use as reference when "normal" people mention a MS Windows alternative and UBuntu seems to me to be so close. Impatience got the better of me. Unfortunately I don't have much experience with NIX systems of any kind but I will keep looking at UBuntu, it is the system that runs the most with the minimum amount of adjustment and setting up.
