Still researching and reading - if this is a duplicate bug, then it's possibly a duplicate of 496093. The threads mostly around RaLink drivers, but I've seen a few postings from people with Intel wireless and Broadcom wireless based cards having the same issue. Looking at my log, I see the same "Association request to the driver failed" that started that bug. Still reading the messages as there is lot's of posts. The worry here is that most of the posts are focused on the Ralink driver - not wpa_supplicant, and only a couple of brief messages of affects me to from a couple of people with other wireless - if that's bug is only specifically for the RaLink driver, then this bug report is not a duplicate of that issue.
