Those having this issue, please try running the following in a terminal before starting the installer and report whether this fixes it:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:psusi/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade libparted0 That should upgrade you to -ubuntu6 of libparted0 from my PPA and then you should be able to install.
