You have been subscribed to a public bug by Steve Beattie (sbeattie): Binary package hint: dpkg
This occurred while doing an upgrade to 10.04. The upgrade was initiated after installing 9.10. Process was as follows: Insert Live CD (Ubuntu 9.10) - format, partition, and install all packages for 9.10. - Restart machine. - Install hardware drivers - Shutdown machine. - Wait 1 minute. - Start machine. - Upgrade Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04 All processes completed correctly (by appearance), up to the installation of packages. Then the "Package Problem," error messages began to appear. There were several error messages. This is one of many. I'm trying to report them all, so you may want to reference the others as well. Thank you.
