I just upgraded as well from 10.04 to 10.10 on 2 out of my 3 systems. The 1 system that I did not upgrade is the one that shares my MF printer/scanner and hard drives to the local network and it's running the fully up-to-date 10.04.1.
Since upgrading the other machines they can no longer access the shared files and folders from the Lucid system, but they can access each other' shares just fine. Even though from the 10.10 systems I can see the shared folders in Nautilus and with smbtree, I cannot mount them. I tried, smbmount smb://zeth-zonbu/video /mnt/Zonbu-Videos -o rw but got this message: mount.cifs: permission denied: no match for /mnt/Zonbu-Videos found in /etc/fstab and if I try the above command with 'sudo' this is what I get: Mounting cifs URL not implemented yet. Attempt to mount smb://zeth- zonbu/video -- mount.cifs: permission denied: no match for /home/myuser/mydir/myshare found in /etc/fstab https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657900 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
