sorry, i find that odd, if I'm copying and pasting a list i expect the
whole list to be copied if i have that whole list selected, including
numbering.

I also find that this behaviour occurs in another inappropriate way. If
I copied a line of text out of one list and paste it in to another
completely separate list, that line then adopts the numbering system of
the list the paste came from even when this makes no sense.

1) one one
2) two two      < ----- if i copy only the text after the number on this line
3) three three

-----

1) un un
2) deux deux    <------ and paste it in here
3) trois trois

-----

1) un un
4) two two       <------ i get this
3) trois trois

I can understand the necessary functionality of this behaviour in
similar circumstances as my original example in the bug report. But I
can see no need for the behaviour in this second example.
