Yes, this bug is related to some "broken" mirrors you might be using. Actually it shouldn't crash at all of course but when developing I never had a mirror that provided me NULL values to some data. The fix was done in packagekit-backend-aptcc and it fixed another bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/633008 It's not released yet, as soon as it got released it won't crash anymore.
