I suspect you may have a different issue, potentially even a hardware or BIOS issue. The sky2 lock-ups are fixed for me and others who reported the problem. Your lock-ups are probably not related to the original bug that was causing everyone else's lock-ups. You should file a separate support request on Launchpad.
