Ok, time to find some solutions. First of all: My cardreader does work on Feisty 2.6.20-15 with the tifm-modules compiled from the sources (tifm 0.8d) with the protocol.h from the vanilla kernel copied "quick and dirty" to the headers file. It doesn't work with the setpci-hack and it doesn't work with the normal Feisty kernel. Obviously the 0.8d modules will not be part of the 2.4.20.5 kernel, Feisty builds upon and the kernel guys should probably have more important things on their minds than fix cardreaders. So how about putting the compiled 0.8d tifm-modules in the modules-backports-package?
