The problem occured when you tried to convert a PostScript file to PDF.
Try to reproduce the bug by trying to redo recent conversions. If you
are able to reproduce it, do

sudo apt-get install gs-gpl
sudo update-alternatives gs

The second command presents a menu, choose gs-gpl there. Can you still
reproduce the bug? Or can you display the file now which you were not
able to display before. Please post the input file, so that it can be
added to the regression testing at ghostscript.com.

If you cannot print any more now, you printer needs ESP GhostScript.
Return to use of ESP GhostScript via

sudo update-alternatives gs

and choosing gs-esp.
