I'm fairly certain this is a duplicate of some other bug - other people seem to be compianing, but it seems to affect some cd drves more than others.
I get this when I try to mount /dev/sdb mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb, missing codepage or other error (could this be the ide device where you in fact use ide-scsi so that sr0 or sda or so is needed?) in some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so $ dmesg | tail [ 365.105410] ath0: no IPv6 routers present [ 1614.579379] end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 [ 1614.603363] end_request: I/O error, dev fd0, sector 0 [ 1755.064476] agpgart: Found an AGP 2.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0. Booting from the hard disk also does this, but when I eject the cd, it continues to boot. I just can't use the cd drive. -- CD drive stopped working after upgrade from Edgy to Feisty(herd 5) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105369 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
