Well, adding that into the file ~/.pulse/daemon.conf (that in fact didn't exist before) made pulseaudio something irresponsible or what. The system volume control shows speaker with "---" and is not able to launch sound settings saying "Waiting for response from the sound system".
I also tried speaker-test and only the front left and front right worked with this configuration, other speakers were muted. It also printed an error message at the beginning of the output: E: daemon-conf.c: [/home/lukaschmela/.pulse//daemon.conf:4] Neplatná mapa kanálů "front-left, front-right, center, rear-left, rear-right, lfe". (Invalid channel map) ..I can play audio files but again only stereo and I am not able to set the volume so I will delete the file and go back to the 4.0 meantime. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/802660 Title: ALC670 5.1 surround not recognized properly on Acer Aspire 8943G To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/802660/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
