The site is valid, but not for the things you want to do. You've downloaded a daily live cd which is why "26-aug-2011 beta" is wrong, because the beta isn't out yet.
In addition without the info from the pc that fails to boot we have nothing but a possibly bad cd burn. You can get some information from the actual kernel oops by doing something like this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingCasper You could also wait for the beta to come out, which should be Today/Tomorrow https://wiki.ubuntu.com/OneiricReleaseSchedule And give that a try and see if that fixes the issue, as it may have just been a bad daily cd, otherwise I'd like to see even a slight glimpse of an error log to get any idea of what is happening other than 'doesn't boot'. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/836229 Title: Ubuntu 11.10 26-aug-2011 beta won't boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/836229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
