Usual Ubuntu session is selected in LightDM, but it's running Unity 2D, so no compiz. I don't know as this appears without any known trigger, if I press alt+F1 the glows white, pressing alt+F1 again doesn't do anything at those times but clicking somewhere else does. When it glowed white without me ordering it to, nothing would turn in dark again and hide the launcher.
