Yes of course, you are right, and it should be improved where it lacks.

Of course, just because Microsoft has no public relation with the
users, it is not ok, that other products and vendors ignore their
lacks.

I have worked for two different Microsoft Gold Partners and I have not
seen any bug tracking system of them.

I had good experiences with launchpad - better experences than with
many other bug tracking systems. Of course there is always room for
improvement...
