Well, it's in the "~/.cache" folder so, AFAIK, you should not have to
backup anything in it.

However, I do agree that the cache handling of the plugin could be optimized.
For example, if the cache was just created, all current thumbnails won't be 
deleted before at least 7 days, even if some are obsoleted before (ie. the 
relative videos expired).

This is not a high priority bug, but I will have a look at it.
Though, it probably won't be fixed in Precise.
