@Wei En: Yes it's not mainly a sys tray problem. The screen flickers
every time an icon is added and removed. If I have the MPlayer icon
active and open and close videos I can get a crash very fast. If it's
disabled a crash only happens every now and then. (Opening the "Menu",
or starting a programm I hardly use (f.e. Totem as I hate this player
:p). So it still crashed but far less often. (I have the newsest gnome
shell btw as well without it it's unusable.)

Could it be a ram problem? As when something new is written into it or
so?
