Most websites in firefox 1.99+2.0b1+dfsg-1ubuntu3 are also affected by this problem and have texts that aren't visible. Selecting the texts makes them visible again. This problem occurs for websites in firefox which have fonts that firefox displays as monochrome fonts (e.g. msttcorefonts and serif that defaults to Dejavu Serif) independent of the settings under System -> Preferences -> Font.
