Thanks Stephane. I'd just finally got time to look into LXC which because I used ubuntu led me to Arkose.
I think whatever the outcome the documentation of Ubuntu's LXC support, capabilities, etc is going to become very important. Some Service Providers (SPs), for cloud are looking at solutions like LXC for lower cost delivery of "services" like hadoop. AWS, I have heard, is looking at possibly adding an LXC type service in EC2. The reasons involve questions around big-data and whether things like Hadoop processing and how much needs to need the overhead of xen, kvm, vmware. big $ difference to the cloud SPs.
