The workaround in comment 2 didn't work for me. This did work: - Edit /usr/share/sopcast-player/lib/VLCWidget.py as root (gksu gedit /usr/share/sopcast-player/lib/VLCWidget.py) - Comment line 32 "import vlc_1_0_x" (put # in front)
