This should have been a non issue. The default lists should have blacklisted the NVIDIA drivers and removed them from the repo until a fix was released by NVIDIA or Ubuntu. I along with many others made a bug report at in plenty time for a launch day patch to prevent this.
@don is correct. 12.04 is an awesome release. The only issue now is those of us that converted people over in the last few years all have egg on our face. I haven't done this much computer home work on family and friends computer since the ole blue screen days of MS. As a beta tester I am used to problems from time to time. For a launch release this was uncalled for. Those of us that work hard testing and converting users, We deserve better than this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/982485 Title: [regression] Nvidia 295.40: Unity 3D does not work at all with the new nvidia driver To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/982485/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
