Hey I tried with
gksudi gedit /etc/default/grub
then i was able to edit and save the file.
then, after giving command update-grub
got this messge on terminal-

prakriti@prakriti-Lenovo-S10-3c:~$ gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub
prakriti@prakriti-Lenovo-S10-3c:~$ update-grub

what does that mean?? what to do now??
