Thanks, that makes more sense. We still should confirm it's fixed - I forgot to check again last night. As far as I can tell, these are the most clear datapoints:
iKs says (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/azureus/+bug/68020/comments/6) that it's not fixed (without the repackaging update, not specifying Java version). Scott also says it isn't (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/azureus/+bug/68020/comments/12), but his other symptoms suggest he is using GCJ/GIJ, which would imply a different bug. Finally, Thom says (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/azureus/+bug/68020/comments/31) that it definitely was an issue on Feisty (with Java 6 even), but no longer is, implying that it's fixed by the update. However, as far as I'm aware the repack was targetted at other bugs. It is possible that this bug is also solved by updating the graphics, since it is a UI issue. But it also seems likely that people reporting here are confusing it with e.g. bug 57875, which is subject to a "proposed" fix. As far as I'm aware this *particular* bug (crash trying to show sliding notification) has never been a problem under GCJ. I hope to do some proper investigation tonight. -- Azureus crashes just after startup (attempt to show sliding notification window) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/68020 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
