There's more than one freezing bug with exactly the same symptoms? I'm not sure I understand the distinction. Anyway, I built my own 3.5-rc4 kernel and that i915 code fixed all freezes and bugs. I cannot crash this system now no matter what I do. the -27 release doesn't get it done here.
