After completely wiping my SSD (backing up my /home to my 1.5TB external), installing 12.10 from scratch, installing all updates in that, upgrading to 13.04, installing all updates in that, and then installing the nvidia-current driver, everything works perfectly again. It was broken on my old install, but using the new install it works. That's rather odd. I'm going to go ahead and say this bug is likely invalid due to the fact that it's now a non-issue. Not sure what triggered the problem in the first place. Testing took place with both Wireless and Bluetooth enabled (which were the triggers of the problem previously).
