While I commend you for listing workarounds I doubt any of the non
highly-technical users can ever make use of this. This bug is real, it
breaks all of the experience, it should be ESCALATED and FIXED.

The [bandwidth limiting] feature, as implemented, DOES NOT WORK. This
bug is not about fixing the internet, buffering, ADSL saturation
behavior .This bug is about the broken implementation of throttling, in
ubuntuone-syncdaemon, that makes no sense at all and should have never
been released in this form.
